Left on Long Island's primary focus is to bridge the prevalent gap between the younger and older generations in local politics. Young people deserve a seat at the table, and arguments that youth do not want to put in the work to make a change are moot - the reality is that we need the help of our current leader's to open the door and find a space for youth engagement.
Left on Long Island is a left-leaning, non-profit organization, run by and meant for young community members.
Thank you to Engage LI for inviting Left on Long Island leadership to meet Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. We are honored to be considered a key part of the Long Island organizing infrastructure and are humbled to have been invited for this opportunity.
