Contribute and Support Our Mission
Our organization is composed of over 50 passionate, young Long Islanders, dozens of organizational allies, and a strong network of supporters. This has allowed our members and young Democrats to not only become aware of opportunities, but comfortably engage.
Left on Long Island has engaged in pushing multiple local issues. Most notably, we were active in advocating for professionalism in the Smithtown Town government, participating in the Melville Town Crossing Hearing, and advocating for lower housing costs for young people in a Newsday article.
Members have shared tens of dozens of opportunities via Slack and word of mouth, opening the door for our members and their networks to get involved.
The Spring 2026 Internship Program launched with two micro-internship opportunities. Partnerships were solidified with the Brookhaven Town Democratic Committee, the Smithtown Town Democratic Committee, and Jon Estreich for County Comptroller.
Fundraised nearly $3,000 in grassroots donations! Contributions to Left on Long Island are used to cover our administrative costs, open opportunities for our members, and advertise our organization! For more information, contact team@leftonlongisland.org.
